New Zealand Schedule T&C Classic and Historic rules, as well
as a heavy influence from FIA Group 2, Group 5 and early Schedule
E rules, all of which were in force at various times in the New
Zealand Saloon Car Championship during the late 1960s and early
1970s.
Historic Muscle
Cars focuses on period correctness. All cars competing must be presented
100% to the HMC regulations, and have a current MSNZ Certificate
Of Description (COD).
Only cars appearing

The focus of
Historic Muscle Cars is to provide a safe, enjoyable environment
where enthusiasts can build and race period correct big-bore sedans
amongst like-minded enthusiasts. There is no championship, no points,
and no rewards are given for finishing positions. Emphasis is placed
on car presentation and period correctness. A successful racing
event for Historic Muscle Cars is one where owners take their cars
home free of damage.
